Vacation
Orlando, Florida. There is blood everywhere. People are crying. I’m tired. My mom is mad. How did we get to this point?
It was a warm summer morning. We all got ready to leave for the Salt Lake International Airport (SLC), but we forgot to get something very important: Our luggage. We were running late and 3 hours away, but that wasn’t going to ruin the vacation. We turned around, got the luggage, and rushed to the airport. We got there, checked in through security, and got to the gate with minutes to spare. Th flight was delayed for hours because of the wind. But we finally got on the plane. We all used the restroom one last time before we got on the night flight so we could arrive early morning.
The next morning, I was woken up by my mom “everyone actually slept!” she said even herself so we were all pretty refreshed for the day. We decided since we couldn’t check in to the hotel until noon that we would go to a water park to kill time. We showed up got changed and went to have fun. Until about ten minutes in my younger brother slipped and fell cracking his eye socket open. There was blood everywhere he was crying my little sister was crying and I was mad because we had to leave. The car ride to the hospital was miserable because everyone was crying but that all stopped when we arrived because we were sent to a room my brother got some medicine to help with the pain. My sister and I sat on the bed under a warm blanket and fell asleep. She was out like a light because she was only 1 at the time not shortly after I fell asleep to. The emergency room was extremely busy so it took forever but the finally came to look at the cut on his face. Superglued it together and sent us on our way. We went to the hotel and just relaxed for about an hour so our parents could rest because they didn’t sleep in the hospital like me and my siblings.
After there nap we went outside to the swimming pool swam for about an hour. Went to Applebee's and enjoyed a nice dinner. And went to a park because it was still like 90 degrees outside enjoyed the rest of the day.
Day 2, 8 a.m. I was woken up because everyone was excited to go to LEGOLAND so was I but I was also excited to sleep. We went down stairs and got some free hotel breakfast. Wasn’t very good but food was food. We spent the whole day at LEGOLAND, went and got dinner and went to the hotel and went swimming yet again. After about an hour we were all dead so we went upstairs and went to sleep.
Day 3, Today we are on our way to SeaWorld. I don’t remember very much about SeaWorld probably because I was up all night and didn’t sleep at all. But I do remember it was like 105 degrees outside with 90% humidity.
Day 4, Today was the last full day so we just went sightseeing if that’s what you want to call it. But we did go to a Zoo and a few parks and stores. But that was about all that we did called it an early night because again I didn’t sleep much. Took about a two-hour nap but we boarded our plane tomorrow and I wanted to sleep on the plane not the hotel so I stayed up the rest of the night just enjoying the hotel.
Day 5, Today got up and packed our stuff and headed to the airport. We got on the plane that morning I slept like a dream. Until someone's kid started screaming and wouldn’t shut up for like an hour. But at least it was peaceful for a little bit. Personal Narrative Reflection
Please answer all questions in complete, grammatically correct sentences.
1. Explain the process you went through to write this paper. Please be specific. I had to try very hard to remember the details of the vacation. It is very hard to write a true story if you can’t remember the facts.
2. What qualifies this paper as a narrative? What are the requirements for this genre and how did you meet them? It’s about me. The requirements were past tense only. So I told it in past tense
3. What is one part of your story that you think turned out really well? What do you like about that part? The Climax or the problem.
